Mr. Sands currently serves as executive vice chairman of the board of Constellation Brands, Inc., a leading international wine, beer, and spirits company headquartered in Victor, NY. Since joining the family-run business in 1979, he has served in a variety of capacities, including executive vice president (1982-1986), chief operating officer (1986-1993), president (1986-2002), CEO (1993-2007), and chairman (1999-present).

Today, Mr. Sands is responsible for providing strategic leadership and working with Constellation’s board of directors and president to establish long-term goals, strategies, and policies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Vermont in 1974, and a master’s degree and doctorate in social psychology from the University of North Carolina in 1979. He is a RIT Board of Trustee emeritus.
