Richard is a serial entrepreneur and business leader with a history of success in startups and corporate turnarounds, Richard has served as CEO of CurAegis Technologies (formerly Torvec, Inc.) since 2010. Prior to joining CurAegis, Mr. Kaplan was president and CEO of Pictometry International, a Rochester-based high-resolution aerial imaging company co-founded by RIT alumnus and former trustee Stephen Schultz, from 2000 through 2010. His earlier executive roles included president of Richland Industries, a retail floor covering chain; co-founder and chairman of Resnick Media Associates, an advertising/marketing company; co-founder and chairman of Blanton Communications, a computer software company; and founder and chairman of Maxim Group Inc., a publicly held company previously listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Richard is an RIT trustee emeritus.
